There are so many things you can do for Halloween and fall.  This is just a short little run down of some cute things.

Wreaths

Go to your local craft store or Wal-Mart and buy a grapevine wreath.  They are usually a dollar or two depending on the size you get.  Go on a long drive through the country side looking at the leaves and foliage.  Take a good pair of scissors with you.  Occasionally stop on the side of the road and pick up leaves, cut some bush branches, gather some grass, or berry twigs, whatever strikes your fancy.  When you get home stick the gatherings in the grapevine wreath till you are happy with it.  Go back to your local craft store or Wal-Mart and buy some ribbon to match your wreath, I prefer the kind with wiring on the sides.  Wrap the ribbon around the wreath a couple of times, spread out some.  Tuck the start and end of the ribbon into the grapevine wreath.  Now, it's time to make a bow.  Take the ribbon and lay it flat on the table (don't cut it yet) and unroll it a couple inches.  For starters do the length of your hand, there is usually plenty of ribbon to make a couple bows if you mess up.  Ok, go the length of your hand and then fold it back so it touches the start point.  Do this a couple of times, so you have a couple layers going from start to end.  Cut it off when you think you have enough layers, 4 or 5 is plenty.  Then cut another piece of ribbon about the length of your layers and tie it in the dead center of all your layers.  Make sure it's a good knot, and then take the layers on both sides and open them up.  They will be loops now, so move them around till you are happy with it.  Now you can either get some floral wire and tie it to your grapevine wreath, or just use some more ribbon and tie it in the back where nobody will see.  If you're still struggling with the bow, some craft stores sell pre-made ones.

Milk Jug Ghosts

You will need an empty milk jug, some white fabric to cover it with, string (preferably fishing line) and a straight stick (you can just look around your yard for that).  Unscrew the cap to the milk jug.  Poke a hole at the bottom of it.  Cut the sting so its 45 inches long, and fold it in half.  Thread the two ends through the hole in the bottom to the opening where the cap was.  Make sure there is enough string at the top to make a good loop to hang it with.  At the top where the cap was, tie the two ends of string around the stick.  Now pull tight on the bottom and knot it near the hole.  Take the white fabric and find its middle.  Put a small hole through the middle and slid the loop through the small hole in the white fabric.  Hold by the loop now, so it looks ghost like now.  Tie a piece of string around the area the cap used to be, but before the stick.  You may now draw a face on it if you'd like, or if you'd like to get really creative cut the bottom of the ghost in a pattern like zigzags, a wave, or a fridge.
